The ARCA Beta Digitization Project was created as a prototype to make archival documents and inventories accessible and searchable to researchers unable to visit the Archive in person. Over time, more digital images of selected collections will added to the project. Our goal is to give researchers around the world access to primary source information on the history, culture, and politics of South Africa.
Digital images of archival documents have been scanned at a resolution of 300dpi.
Researchers who access the images available through this project are expected to observe the same rules that apply to all those who visit the Archive in person. Please read the section on Research Procedures for more information.
